Beacon Coding & Consulting was founded in 2003 by a credentialed HIM professional with more than 20 years of HIM experience. With an entrepreneurial spirit the founder was determined to bring her specialty’s expertise to professional colleagues and the health care field in general to promote the HIM field.

Beacon's staff is credentialed (RHIA/RHIT) or certified (CCS, CCS-P, CPC) with an average experience level of 10 years. Staff has operational, coding, auditing, and consulting experience - hands-on. This includes experience with "Big 6" firms, military, urban, rural facilities, university physician groups, and small to medium physician groups. As you can see our expertise is broad but our services are personalized.
